Umberto Ciceri

Overview
Born in Legnano (Milan), Umberto Ciceri is an Italian artist currently living between Barcelona and Bologna. A graduate of the Milan Academy of Arts & Design, his early career in fashion fueled his interest in optics, color chemistry, and neurophysiological perception, leading to the creation of his signature technique, Hypertrait. This method, based on neuroaesthetics, uses special lenses and interference patterns to engage viewers in a dynamic, kinetic experience with his artwork.
Ciceri’s work has been exhibited in renowned venues, including the Maga Museum (18th Giornata del Contemporaneo), Kunstverein Friedberg (Identities, 2020), Museo Marino Marini (Ex Voto, 2019), Teatros del Canal (Madrid, 2017), and the Venice Biennale (2011). He has also shown at Artefiera, Art Miami, Scope, MIArt, and Fotografia Europea.
In 2018, Ciceri presented Human Fights Right Lights at the Reggia di Caserta under the patronage of Amnesty International.
