Gustavo Vélez continues to inspire art lovers and collectors by offering a range of sculptures that can be observed with admiration. The Latin-American talent is being closely watched by those that follow the contemporary art market, Vélez is already setting records in important auctions of Latin-American art conducted by the big three – Sotheby’s, Christie’s, and Phillips.
It is recently that the Colombian artist has signed a record sale of one of his artworks "Hipercubicos" (2013) in the Online Auction, Latin American Art Online 9 - 23 July 2021 at Christie's. The sculpture was sold for USD 33,500 after an estimated price of USD 20,000 - USD 30,000.
