Denis Nayrac

Overview
Denis Nayrac is a French sculptor whose mastery of bronze and metal has earned him recognition for works that merge force, sensitivity, and symbolic depth. His creations draw inspiration from nature, spirituality, and mythology, and his artistic approach is profoundly emotional: he sculpts to convey, awaken, and question.
Through his sculptures, Denis Nayrac invites us to reflect on the fragile bond between humans and their environment.
He calls for respect for the living, for contemplation, and for reconnection with what lies beyond us.
His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions throughout France. He is notably the creator of The Bull, The Flamingos, and a monumental Amphora installed on a roundabout in Fos-sur-Mer. He is also responsible for designing the Marcel Pagnol trophies, awarded during the legendary Marseillaise pétanque competition—an emblematic event in his hometown.
With a nod to Marseilles humor, he sculpted La Sardine, famous for its playful spirit, which later became the label of a rosé wine from Domaine de la Portanière in Collobrières. Winner of the Ateliers d’Art de France competition in Paris with his work La Tête de Taureau, he also collaborated with MOF Serge Billet, world pastry champion, to create an artistic Yule log in 2015.
