Seaty
French artist Seaty, born in 1983, is a leading voice in contemporary urban art. Influenced by 1990s hip-hop and graffiti culture, he began creating street art at an early age. Self-taught, he dedicated himself to art in 2012, choosing the name “Seaty” as a tribute to the city—his first canvas.
His portraits feature powerful faces from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Using black and white as a base, he adds bold strokes of color to create striking visual contrasts. His style merges realism and abstraction, evoking both emotion and intensity.
Seaty works across unconventional media, including road signs, cars, mailboxes, and phone booths. Though discreet in persona, he embraces collaboration and large-scale public art. Highlights include a hand-painted Mini Clubman in Monaco, an iconic phone booth in Courchevel, murals in Kingston and Cannes, and a monumental work in Dreux.
Known for his instantly recognizable aesthetic, Seaty continues to captivate audiences with works that bridge street culture and fine art.
