Jimenez Deredia's record sales at Christie's New York

NEW YORK

The monumental sculpture “Pareja” by Jimènez Deredia has travelled and has been positioned in many cities around the world, among which the recent public display in the Rockefeller Centre in New York, and the Italian cities of Pisa and Lucca.

This work, according to the creator himself, “is a tribute to women. My sculptures are inspired by life. My work is inspired by women, who generate life”.

“Pareja” was one of the few art pieces that was sold at a record price of $675.000 in the Latin American section of the November 2019 sales season of the auction house Christie’s, overcoming the estimate price range of $350.000-450.000 selected for the art work, strengthening the position of Jimènez Deredia in the global art market.
