Chromatic Pop

On 14 May 2025, Oblong Contemporary proudly inaugurated its new space at Al Khayat Art Avenue with CHROMATIC POP—a bold group exhibition celebrating the language of color, form, and contemporary Pop Art.

The opening night welcomed over 200 guests, including collectors, artists, and members of Dubai’s creative community, who gathered to explore over 50 vibrant works by eight internationally acclaimed artists: Laurence Jenkell, Umberto Ciceri, Mr. Brainwash, Sauro Cavallini, Hussein Jamil, Ludmila Radchenko, Yana Rusnak, and Lola Sergounine.

From kinetic optical illusions to candy-wrapped sculptures and gold-leafed canvases, CHROMATIC POP offers a multifaceted experience of nostalgia, playfulness, and bold aesthetic expression. The show also marks the beginning of a new chapter for the gallery as it continues to foster cultural exchange and contemporary dialogue in the UAE art scene.

The exhibition remains on view at Oblong Contemporary’s new venue in Al Quoz.
