Italian artist Stefano Bombardieri is known for his large and bold sculptures, which often include wildlife as their subject matter, such as: whales, rhinos, crocodiles and elephants. Bombardieri embraces a deeply philosophical approach to art, focusing on themes such as time and its perception, man and the meaning of existence and the experience of pain in Western culture.

He has described his work as both minimal and conceptual, featuring a great mix of tools and artistic mediums, ranging from large sculptures to video installations.
