Valentina Lucarini

Overview
Valentina Lucarini Orejón is an Italo-Spanish sculptor living and working in Pietrasanta, Italy. Heir to the historic Fonderia Versiliese, she has cultivated an intimate connection with the ancient lost-wax bronze casting technique, transforming the sculptural process into a personal language. Her research centers on the dialogue between body, spirituality, and materiality, exclusively using bronze and metal residues to create contemporary ex-votos that explore themes of devotion, relics, and the sacred.
Lucarini Orejón’s work has been featured in notable exhibitions, including Materia. Le forme del contemporaneo nella scultura (Senigallia), Lumen: Archeology of the Relic and Revelation (Viareggio), and Spirituality of Sculpture at the Mabuk-ro Giheung-gu Korean Art Museum. She has participated in international events such as Art Cheonju and the 13th International Sculpture Festival in South Korea. Previous exhibitions include Wunderkammer. A Private Collection (Viareggio), Femminile Plurale (Trecastelli), and Unity in Diversity (Dubai).
Her practice, steeped in secular animism, seeks to ritualize matter and bridge the intimate and spiritual, elevating each sculpture into an act of devotion to life and form.
