Nocera works across different mediums including: painting, sculpture and installations. In his artistic career spanning over 50 years, he has created precious institutional works in Italy and abroad, collaborated with important international bodies and participated in the Venice Biennale of Art in 2011 and 2013.
His works draw inspiration from myths, legends, fables and sacred texts, and focus on crucial aspects concerning the whole of humanity, from the right to freedom and housing, to the need for justice and spirituality. Often, in his works, the female figure is of great importance because, as the artist states, "the woman is not only the embodiment of grace and beauty, but of life itself".
