Emre Namyeter
Emre Namyeter is a multidisciplinary artist who is fascinated by how abstraction can alter perception. His formal education began at Istanbul Bilgi University, where he majored in advertising and photography. He then pursued degrees in fine art and sculpture before finishing his education at Concordia University in Montreal with studies in electronic arts. Namyeter's desire to comprehend and master various disciplines manifests itself in hypnotic, multisensory paintings, sculptures, photographs, and light-box installations. He pours paint onto materials like wood, glass, aluminum, and LEDs, and the resulting swirl effect is influenced by his body movement during the process. Namyeter's work has received attention since his participation in Contemporary Istanbul in 2015, 2018, and 2019.
